house last week!

House Love have their
coloring book,
Color At Home coming out in October and from the looks of the cover image, it is going to be a good one.
One last Little
House goodie that is so fun is this adorable
coloring book for adults and kids.
Before we moved into our current
house, I read in an out - of - print decorating
book, that for choosing paint
colors, it helps if you find something in your home that you love and pull
colors from that.
The warm, coziness of snuggling on cool nights... gorgeous sweeps of
color across the Ozark hills surrounding our
house... hot cider... bringing out the warm and comfy things that make me smile and want to stop... slow down and just enjoy a good
book or time with my family.

I wasn't sure if I should feel sad, or just laugh at the irony of her words but a recent Amazon reviewer of my coffee table
book The Inspired Room shared that she didn't like my
color palette, didn't like how we arranged our chairs in the kitchen, and basically said I decorated my
house all wrong, in her opinion.
This new
book is about decorating your home (with lots of inspiration and practical affordable tips for how to decorate and create a home you'll love) featuring my own humble home in full
color photographs taken by ME and my daughter Courtney (OH MY GOSH, what a job that was and how scary knowing my
house is in a
book, hahah!).
She's reading cool classic Nancy Drew
books (which I never read as a kid), introducing me to music that I totally love, and her favorite
colors inspired a room re-do in our
house.
