Nursery Series: Growing Plants from Cuttings April 13, 2018 12 — 3 pm Location: Fort Funston Meghan Steinharter (Fort Funston and Oceana Nurseries Manager) and Robin Binaoro (Marin
Headlands Nursery Assistant) will lead this class in the art of rooting plants from cuttings!
This winter the thousands of plants grown at the Marin
Headlands Nursery will gradually transform the area into a haven for wildlife.
For more information and to help give these plants a great start, come to the Marin
Headlands Nursery on Saturdays from 9 am — noon or Wednesdays 1 — 4 pm, on your way to check out the evolving wetland... and, of course, the beach!
Marin
Headlands Nursery Dune or salt rush (Juncus lesueurii): This native rush will be grown for the marshy habitat found at the Rodeo Beach wetland.
Celebrating its 10 - year anniversary this month, the Marin
Headlands Nursery has grown almost 300,000 plants in the last decade.

Headlands Nursery Assistant) will discuss the science behind clonal propagation: what's going on inside the plant and how rooting hormones work.
Wednesdays and Saturdays are drop - in days for the Marin
