Pumis were initially bred as
herding dogs, but have eventually used for the purpose of
dog dancing,
dog agility, obedience, and even for detection or search and
rescue activities.

The purpose of ARCBCR is to
rescue border collies, border collie mixes and other

There is a particularly wide range of jobs available to
dogs that are willing and driven to work, some of these jobs include search and
rescue work, tracking work, therapy
dog work, bomb sniffing work, sheep
herding work, shepherding work, seeing eye work, and assistance
dog work.
They also excel as working
dogs, doing things such as sniffing for bombs,
herding animals, search and

Through my career I have
rescued thousands of animals,
herds of horses, entire pet stores full of exotics and
dogs and cats far too numerous to list just to name a few.
Currently, Katrina's four - legged family consists of a horse, a number of cats, and two
rescue dogs: Maddie, «The Flying Coyote,» a border collie who's completed her advanced / master titles in three agility associations and has tried her paw at
herding as well, and Malcolm, «The Crashing Coyote,» a sheltie who enjoys his rally classes and just about anything he can get in his mouth.

She and her husband share their home with a hound
dog mix named Desmond, a
herding dog mix named Penny, five
rescued cats, and a Senegal parrot named Echo.
They are currently used in Europe and the United States for search and
rescue, tracking, obedience, agility, drafting,
herding, and working
