Vatra Games made decent efforts to deliver a unique experience that would be faithful to the Silent
Hill games of old.

Hill was my first introduction to the horror genre, When I started playing it, I saw the intro and what I saw was nothing indicative
of a horror
game, or neither an action
game, it looked more like a sad psychological drama
game, It got me wondering what did I get myself into, then I started playing it and when I got to the alleyway part and got killed by the children zombies, I immediately turned off my Play Station, I was horrified, but somehow the
game kept calling me to play, I decided to keep playing, it got to a point where I couldn't play at night, I had to turn any background music down simply because it was just too much for my 12 - year -
old head, but at the same time I was having fun on a level I never imagined I could before.
The only two items that caught my eye were the Uncharted
game (hear it's a great series) and a new Silent
Hill (kind
of dread it too, I'm
old and reluctant to accept change).
When we hear about survival horror
games, most
of us think about
games like Resident Evil or Silent
Hill, while
older gamers will also probably remember Alone in the Dark.
The determined cop from the first Silent
Hill game could well be a mirror image
of a younger Cameron Diaz while the mysterious and cheeky Maria from the second instalment shares a lot
of features with an
older Cameron Diaz.
I actually played some
of the
old Silent
Hill games and the puzzles are very excellent, Amnesia is too easy and thoughtless compared to this.
After thos are put up for purchase they need to go back to their catalog and fill in the gaps as there are some quality
older games that are MIA (Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Orange Box, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Brutal Legend, FEAR, Castlevania: Lords
of Shadow, Enslaved, Saboteur, Stranglehold, Silent
Hill: Homecoming).
