To make a
parfait, mix
yogurt with
honey or maple syrup (optional).
Sometimes, I like to think of it as a banana
yogurt parfait and any toppings one would use for
yogurt is applicable here: granola dust, berries,
honey, etc..
The reason I made this
parfait with
yogurt and
honey instead of cream and sugar was to reduce the content of fat and sugar and make a healthy
parfait that everyone will enjoy.
If you want it sweeter, try adding
honey to the
yogurt or drizzle it over the top of the completed
parfaits.

ingredients DRIED FRUIT AND NUT OVERNIGHT - OATS
PARFAIT 1/3 cup sliced almonds (divided) 1 and 1/3 cup nonfat Greek
yogurt (divided) 2 tablespoons
honey (divided) 2 cups Quaker Oats 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups nonfat milk 1/4 cup dried apricots (roughly chopped, divided) 1/4 cup dried cranberries (divided) Fresh mint leaves (to garnish)
Fruit
parfait: fresh fruit slices (or you can use frozen fruits defrosted in the microwave) in plain
yogurt flavored with 1 tsp all fruit preserves or
honey.
When making
parfaits at home, start with plain
yogurt and sweeten it yourself with a drizzle of
honey or maple syrup.
Top
parfaits with the remaining
yogurt mixture (about 1/3 cup each); top each with 1/2 teaspoon
honey, 2 clementine segments, and 1/2 tablespoon nuts.
Spoon 1/3 cup
yogurt mixture into each of 4 small
parfait glasses; top each with 1/2 teaspoon
honey, 5 clementine sections, and 1/2 tablespoon nuts.
Drizzle 1 teaspoon
honey over the
yogurt layer, and top each
parfait with the remaining granola.

Layer the granola with some
honey - flavored full fat Greek
yogurt (p.s., this stuff is unreal good) and you'll have the best
yogurt parfait out there.
