Honor just destroyed the competition by

phone at Rs. 30K.
But which of the Xiaomi Mi A1 and
Honor 7X is the
phone for you if your budget around Rs 15,000 — the Mi A1 is officially
priced at Rs 13,999, while the
Honor 7X starts
at Rs 12,999 and goes up to Rs 15,999 for the 4 GB / 64 GB version?
The pros far outweigh the cons and when you realize the
Honor 7X is
priced at just $ 200 it is great to have as a spare or emergency
phone.
However, with the
Honor 8 Lite, which should come in
at a cheaper
price due to the slightly weaker specs and features compared to its sibling, Indians should be quick to adopt the
phone once available, especially if some of the aesthetics and abilities of the standard model are retained.
In effect,
Honor has cannibalized the
Honor 9 Lite with other
phones in its mid-range lineup, particularly
at the Rs. 14,999
price point for the 4GB / 64 GB variant, where it has to compete against
phones from rival manufacturers such as the Xiaomi Mi A1 as well.
These
prices will be applicable
at Amazon, B&H, Best Buy as well as the official
Honor website, but pre-orders for the
phone begin this August 17.
In a market where small, disruptive companies are releasing
phones with flagship specifications
at low
prices - think OnePlus,
Honor and Oppo - it's harder for big companies like Samsung to compete in the traditional model.
Honor is also one of those company who has offered us really great
phones at budget
prices.

It's been making waves overseas lately with its new
Honor lineup, offering fairly powerful

price, but we haven't seen many truly premium smartphones come from Huawei, save for the huge (and hugely niche) Ascend Mate series.

Honor phones, but still comfortably within that «affordable flagship» ballpark.

phone is competing with some of the mid-range options in the market like

phone that is
priced at just $ 200 and is classified as a mid-ranger, the Huawei
Honor 5X still rocks when it comes to specs.
In the same vein as other flagship -
at - mid-range-
price OEMs,
Honor says that it's changing the game with a
phone that brings so much for a
price that's so low.
At the time, I had barely heard of the
Honor line, but was impressed by the brand's slow encroachment into the Western market, which combined the aspirational hardware design of Huawei's high - end
phones with a much more accessible name and
price.
The only real disappointment here is that the
Honor 8 is launching with EMUI 4.1, which is serviceable but far from the great experience you can get on other
phones today — both
at this
price and below.
But, like the
Honor 5X that Huawei launched back
at CES, the
phone's attractiveness comes in what you get for the
price.
It's true that the Huawei
Honor 6X won't blow you away with a premium design or high - end features, however,
at just $ 250, you'll be getting a
phone that ships with a decent display screen, expandable storage, a long - lasting battery unit and a fingerprint scanner, all wrapped in a metallic body that is way better than the plastic bodies that dominate this
price category.

Honor has found a winner with the 8 Pro, delivering a high - performing

These photos aren't bad for a mid-range Android
phone, although we've seen other OEMs include dual - camera systems

price point, including
Honor and even Asus with its ZenFone 3 Zoom.
Now that you can put money down for an
Honor 5X (
at a great
price, of course) it's
at the top of many minds, trying to figure out if it's the right budget
phone choice for them.
