Every week, volunteers with Corridor Rescue and other animal welfare groups hit the roads of
Houston, their cars full of
dog food, flea control and worm medicine, headed for the
areas in the city known to be overrun with stray
dogs.
The puppies were sent from the

area to the Helen Woodward Animal Center by Operation Pets Alive, which rescues
dogs displaced after natural disasters from being euthanized.
A group from the Helen Woodward Animal Center of Rancho Santa Fe went to the
Houston area last week following Hurricane Harvey, and brought back 80
dogs and cats.

Houston area joined our pets on the excursion, which also stopped at Ruff Start Rescue in Princeton, Minnesota.
