Using industrial or everyday materials Sonnier and his contemporaries including Lynda Benglis, Mary Heilmann, Eva Hesse, Bruce Nauman, and Richard Serra produced art works that demonstrated the quality of the materials used, and often presented these sculptures
in dialogue with both the
space in which they were shown and with the
human body.

space as if it is a remnant of
human behaviour discovered by accident.
As a result, the fractures, the disruptive moments that Schinwald's works otherwise inscribe
in the
human body here reappear
in three - dimensional
space.
Bryan C. McVey's work is dynamic
in nature and spans a multitude of
spaces and subjects including travel,
human endurance, the
body, as well as urban and rural topics.
In his work, he often investigates the psychological relationship between
space and the
human body.

human figure lays flat, rendering the
space a laboratory and pointing to the
body as both an instrument and source of deeper knowledge and truth.
