We bought an IKEA slipcovered chair awhile ago hoping it would work for us at least for awhile because the price was right and I loved that I could bring it home on the spot.

That sofa was an IKEA sofa so I could take the slipcovers off and wash them and they'd come out pretty clean, but with kids that was having to happen just a little too often for my liking.

Originally I was going to get the white slip covers for them, but was debating over the $ 30 price tag for just one Now mind you, IKEA has the best priced parson chairs around, including the slip covers, which are a must in my house, then the hubby asked if I knew how to make some, which I replied «Yes», he put the slipcovers back on the shelf, and now I will be making them.

I know it's been awhile since you posted on this but from my research with ikea, the only «extra» slipcovers or covers to get when yours is in need of replacement is $ 140 or so for loveseat alone.

We actually have 3 kids, and I think IKEA couches with white slipcovers are THE BEST — the slipcovers are fairly inexpensive and you can wash and bleach them if need be.

If you email me directly with the exact dimensions of your sofa, I will measure my sofa slipcover, which is the IKEA Ektorp (on my PB Basic sofa, which is a PERFECT FIT), to see if it would work... your dimensions should be the exact same as mine, but your cushions should fit a little more snugly because of the feather / down wrap.

I purchased a white GULP slipcover — new from IKEA for their ektorp sectional.

I also found a lady recently on Ebay that makes custom slipcovers for the PB basic, I think they are a little more than IKEA's but it's great that there are good deals out there to keep our PB basics looking good!!!
