Irish Museum of Modern Art & Hennessy establish acquisition fund The Irish Museum of Modern Art and Hennessy Ireland have gone into partnership to create a $ 50,000 annual fund to acquire new works of contemporary art, specifically by artists not already represented in
IMMA's
collection.
The works, on loan from private
collections, will be presented in a series of exhibitions in a dedicated Freud Centre in
IMMA's Garden Galleries for five years, 2016 - 2021.

collection loans and partnerships: in 2017 alone, works have been loaned to exhibitions at Serpentine Galleries, London; BALTIC, Gateshead; Langen Foundation, Neuss; Bloomberg SPACE, London; Canada House, London; Hayward Gallery touring, UK - wide; FRAC Champagne - Ardenne; Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, Sussex; Touchstones Rochadale, Yorkshire; Goldsmiths Edinburgh; The Hepworth Wakefield, Yorkshire;

IMMA, What We Call Love: From Surrealism to Now features almost 200 works, including over 30 works on loan from major international
collections.
David Kronn has indicated his wish to make
IMMA the future home of his outstanding
collection and work to give effect to this is already in train.
David Kronn has expressed his pleasure with his association with
IMMA: «The fact that the museum has agreed to take the
collection in its entirety is a great vote of confidence and a matter of pride.

Although lacking a representative photographic
collection,
IMMA has to date sought to compensate for this by presenting a number of significant photographic exhibitions drawn from external sources.

Presented in the context of our
Collections exhibition Coast - Lines, this solo exhibition includes a number of works by Brian O'Doherty / Patrick Ireland from
IMMA's National Collection, in addition to drawings from the 1960s, Structural Plays and new works recently published by Stoney Road Press as limited editioned prints.
Works by Willie Doherty, Elizabeth Magill and Brian Maguire are among those included in
IMMA Collection: A Decade, an exhibition of some of the highlights from
IMMA's
collection over the past ten years.
The forthcoming exhibition celebrates the arrival of the balance of their
collection to
