After competing and setting my best times at

Ironman Hawaii for my fifth time followed by another marathon then, a 50k trail race while
running my own fitness business with crazy hours... my body from the inside out was exhausted.
For those not familiar with an Ultraman, it is a triathlon made in succesive days equal to double the distance of an
Ironman (2 x 4k swimm, 180k cycling and 42k
run).
Writing this article was hella helpful in the last couple months of training for
Ironman... It's not always easy to practice what I preach with this stuff, but I knew that the
run and staying hydrated was going to be a limiter for me...
Obviously training for an
Ironman is going to involve much more aerobic activity (and much less anaerobic) than if you are training for a 5K trail
run.
