The main issues have been print copies, as they require new
ISBNs — but I gave the
change a positive spin and did a giveaway of signed First Editions

book (it has not yet been printed / published) and have

If you make significant
changes to the content of your
book (like a new edition) you will also need a new
ISBN.
So, if you haven't assigned an
ISBN to that specific Kindle
book you can
change the title without any repercussions.
So, if you find errors, if you find edits, if you find things that you want
to add or do later, or if you want
to change the title of a print
book, you actually have
to retire it and get a new
ISBN, because that
ISBN is tied
to that title.
My expenses for a new
book are about $ 1100... that includes my cover artist, my copy editor, my own
ISBN #, and paying
to have my ebook versions professionally made for me... Since I'm still unknown, most of my copies I personally sell at events I attend, but I'm hoping that
changes as I come out with more
books...
If you are using print - on - demand services, you will not need a new
ISBN number for each printing, but if you make
changes to the
book, you will need a new
ISBN number.
Recently I decided
to change titles of my
book; doing so with the Kindle version was easy, but you can't
change titles on Createspace (because it's linked with an
ISBN number) so I thought I'd try moving the print version
to KDP instead.

Books» icon in your author account then select «Edit

I've burnt myself a little (my mistake), and now I may have
to re-launch my
book with a new
ISBN, lose some excellent reviews, and drop my sales history for the sake of one
change.
