dal paratha (
dal stuffed
Indian flat bread) with step wise pictures following this easy recipe.
Currently this means brown rice + a basic yellow
dal + plain yogurt on the side + shredded brussel sprouts sauteed with a lot of
indian spices (cumin seeds, some garam masala, some tumeric, salt, a little chili powder.)
In the evenings, it's a quick ten minutes to heat up the
dal or veggie dish and fry rotis (that's the dry north
Indian flatbread).
I made some substitutions based on what I had on hand / what is or is not in season: (1) 1/2 cup of yellow moong
