Over the last three years I have focused
my instructional design efforts on a specific context: higher education courses delivered via a learning management system (LMS) by subject matter experts (SMEs).
If you are not following these individuals and their work in eLearning, then you are not really serious about improving the quality of
your Instructional Design efforts whether in the learning culture of a business or in the formal education setting.
It will demand good teamwork between the Instructional Designer and the technical team and will inevitably need more
Instructional Design effort to make it work.
Gamified learning tends to be more expensive and time consuming to produce as it often requires more
Instructional Design effort and higher media production values.

Creating and managing your
Instructional Design portfolio may require a significant amount of time and
effort, but it is well worth the investment.
While your
Instructional Design portfolio will likely get you a few clients, you will need to focus most of your job - getting
efforts on the next few steps.

designing instructional materials, consulting with states and districts, and training leaders and teachers, seemingly presuming that the public knew what they were up to and supported their
effort.
Whatever the approach you may use, an
instructional design for MOOCs needs additional time and

effort of the National Literacy Project (NLP), Seminole County (FL) Public Schools, and the National Literacy
Design Collaborative (LDC), teachers, district and school administrators, and
instructional coaches learned to use the LDC Framework to help students meet career - and college - readiness standards.

design of student learning experiences, (2) enhancement of teachers» leadership skills (particularly related to sharing leadership for
