Stephen Balkam, CEO of the Family Online
Safety Institute (FOSI) is calling for more research into the phenomenon of «sexting» as it warns of the extra
responsibilities and implications of expanding
internet services for all.
FOSI is also committed to this idea and has called for a Culture of
Responsibility that requires all players in the online
safety space to take on an increased role to protect children on the
Internet.
The research also found that the introduction of online
safety education to the IT curriculum last year means that many parents are failing to take
responsibility for ensuring their children are properly equipped to safely navigate the
internet.
