Used eggs and just slightly more flax than called for but I improvised on the seasonings — salt, garlic powder and a little mixed
Italian herbs.

I
used ground turkey, tossed in a few
Italian herbs, Marsala wine and some Parmesan cheese to make it noteworthy, but other than that — this is a pretty basic recipe.

Most recipes we've seen
use this sunflower seed tuna as a spread or as a tuna salad (often with the addition of celery and
herbs) but we instead added it to a tomato sauce and served it with penne, creating a classic
Italian poor mans dish.
If you
use Italian seasoned bread crumbs in the meatballs, leave out the dried
herbs.
Use a big bowl to combine the oil with the
Italian herbs, grated or chopped garlic, and chicken broth.
I
use my homemade herbes de Provence for the

Salmoriglio is an
Italian herb sauce
used to drizzle on pretty much any meat or fish.

This Mediterranean
herb is widely
used as a seasoning in Greek, Spanish and
Italian cooking.
I
use these often for spaghetti and «meatballs», and so I add fresh
herbs from my garden to give them a zesty
Italian flavor.
You could
use lemon pepper or
Italian herbs or I'll buy unsalted «everyday» type of blends from whatever store I am shopping, I love sweet or smoked paprika on anything.
Whilst peeling potatoes for the mash I had the the onion and garlic «sauteeing» to the point where they ended up burning so had to basically forget toasting the breadcrumbs chuck in veggie stock (had no wine or capers or thyme or shallots - hence
using onion) some salt pepper and oregano as that's another commonly
used in
Italian herb.
I
used some fresh Rosemary as topping but you can top it with olives, concord grapes, cherry tomatoes, freshly chopped basil, sun dried tomatoes or simply a mix of dry
Italian herbs would also suffice.

I love
using Italian Seasoning on everything because it contains some of the most powerful
herbs in one container!
Using fresh spices and
herbs can really bring out an authentic
Italian taste, especially when paired with healthy cuts of meat.
Add the zest and juice of the lemon and 1 teaspoon of thyme (I
used Italian herbs mix) leaves to the butter mixture.
