Jaybird's
app, which lets you customize the way the earbuds» sound, is as good a feature as it seemed when it was announced last year.
Fresh out of the box I wasn't too impressed with sound quality, but the new
Jaybird MySound
app is pretty handy.
Jaybird recognizes that the emphasized bass isn't everyone's preference and calibrates for that with the MySound
app.
The
Jaybird Run buds are sweat resistant, though, and they connect to the company's
app, which lets you customize the way they sound.
However, the Jabra
app does offer some useful metrics that you can use and interpret yourself, and the earbuds are really excellent for exercise, because they are pretty much unshakeable once in your ears, unlike close rival the
Jaybird Run.

With its new, patent - pending
Jaybird MySound
app — available for Android and iOS — users can now customize their equalizer settings, which are then automatically synced to Freedom, creating a unique sound profile that is saved on the buds no matter the music device they're paired with — a first for the wireless sport earbuds market.
The stock audio profile is relatively treble - skewed, but thanks to the free
Jaybird MySound
app (available on iOS and Android), you can use a five - band EQ to fine - tune the acoustics or switch between a variety of presets and user - created profiles.

app, MySound, is quite useful.

app (it's only redesigned based on features, it'll look the same to those that have already been using the
app) also gives you options for setting different EQ's and even creating your own.
Jaybird has also added an interesting, but definitely useful feature to its

Jaybird's staff, that are available on Spotify.
The companion
app can be used to locate the earbuds as well as share your Spotify playlist to other

Jaybird is confident it has gotten the formula right but, if the sound still isn't to your taste, the companion
app can let you adjust levels to your preference.

App to give the user complete control over their unique sound profile that can be used with any device that you pair up with the X3s.
