Jaybird does also give users the ability to change what happens when you press buttons on either of the earbuds.
Jaybird does include a few other ear tips, if the ones on the Jaybird RUN don't fit your ears perfectly — let's face it, everyone's ears are different sizes.

Although they don't have an official IP rating,
Jaybird claims the X3 are sweat - resistant.
If you're someone that makes short, daily commutes and wants a good - sounding pair of Bluetooth earbuds but don't mind charging them often the
Jaybird Freedom 2 headphones might be for you.
I appreciate that
Jaybird tried to make the fit better but, at least for me, they still don't.
I have a feeling this has to
do with Logitech purchasing
Jaybird and there has been a huge drop in customer service.
Will try the
Jaybird if replacements don't last.
However, the Jabra app
does offer some useful metrics that you can use and interpret yourself, and the earbuds are really excellent for exercise, because they are pretty much unshakeable once in your ears, unlike close rival the
Jaybird Run.
Last year's
Jaybird X2 Bluetooth Earbuds make more of a case for working out than the new Freedoms
do: they're sweat - proof, get eight hours on a charge, can be worn under ear or over-the-top, and give voice prompts (i.e. «Headphones connected), which not all of these headphones
do.
The
Jaybird X3 also provides a good overall audio experience, though it
does give you more control over how your music sounds.
I
did attempt to use the Comply Premium memory foam tps that come with the
Jaybird X3, but they were too big for the necks on the S8's earphones.
However, the problem doesn't seem to happen when the
Jaybird Run is being used at home or at the gym.
Granted, these earphones offer more features than the
Jaybird X2 with a smaller footprint, but it doesn't mean you have to sacrifice audio quality.
I was able to connect my AirPods and a pair of
Jaybird X3 earphones to the watch, but Apple's Bluetooth buds didn't play nicely with the Forerunner.
Like many wire - free earphones, the
Jaybird Run simply don't sound as powerful as wired earphones, or even wireless earphones that connect the two earpieces (and can often have more power behind them since the battery driving them is separate from each earpiece).
Even with its myriad included accessories, the Freedom doesn't quite justify its $ 200 price tag; you can find better - performing, less expensive Bluetooth earphones in the JBL Reflect Mini BT, the Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless, the Skullcandy XTFree, and
Jaybird's own X2.
Between the
Jaybird RUN and the
Jaybird X3's, I didn't notice much of a difference in audio quality, which is actually rather impressive when you think about it.
And that's because Google Assistant is talking through the
Jaybird RUN so others don't hear it, but they'll hear you talking to the Google Assistant.
It mostly only happens when the phone is in a pocket and walking around with the
Jaybird RUN in my ears, so it appears to be something with the Bluetooth signal, and it doesn't happen with every phone.
So it's good to know that these
do last quite a while, even longer than the initial 4 hours that
Jaybird quotes.
That's common for
Jaybird, as it has
done this with its other headphones like the
Jaybird X3, Freedom F5 and the newly announced Freedom 2 headphones.
This is
done by signing in and / or creating a new
Jaybird app.
The app
does also have a new section that has a number of playlists curated by
Jaybird's staff, that are available on Spotify.
Jaybird advertises an unbelievable 12 hours of battery life for the RUN, but don't be fooled.
