Paterson today was joined by Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals Jonathon Lippman; Assembly Speaker Silver; President of the New York State Bar Association Steve Younger; Chair of the Fund for Modern Courts Victor Kovner; and distinguished members of the New York State judiciary as he signed
legislation establishing a special Commission on
Judicial Compensation.
The New York State Commission on
Legislation Judiciary and Executive
Compensation has until the end of the year to recommend
judicial pay rates, and until next November for legislative pay rates.
