It's been around for seven years and sold in big numbers, but the Nissan
Juke still stands out on our roads — there's nothing else like it.
Don't forget the Nissan Juke as you're perusing these new entries;
the Juke still compares favorably in terms of price, size and power.
In a testament to just how right Nissan got that formula in 2011, though,
the Juke still manages to be a pretty good compact crossover — albeit one that is now starting to show its age.
For us,
the Juke still gets a nod for offering a proper performance version (the Nismo RS), although regular Jukes are feeling pretty creaky by now.
Even with the trick differential, though,
the Juke still prefers to understeer in hard turns.
Not exact matches
And yet somehow he found a way to
still make sugar out of shit on a lot of those plays by
juking one guy right in his face and then getting north and south in a hurry with good body lean so he could get as much yardage as possible.
If space is not your highest priority and you like the look, the
Juke will
still put a smile on your face.
These helped the
Juke launch more predictably and corner better but
still allowed its torsion - beam rear end to slide through corners when we wanted.
That
still makes it 10 inches longer than the Nissan
Juke, meaning that it could fill a gap between the two crossovers in Nissan's U.S. lineup.
Despite those qualms, the
Juke is
still a knockout for Nissan, whose mainstream products are so often bland and uninspiring.
Under the skin, the 2015 Nissan
Juke is not changed much, as it
still features the same 1.6 - liter turbocharged four - cylinder engine making 188 hp.
We
still don't have numbers for the upcoming 2016 Mazda CX - 3 and 2015 Jeep Renegade, but the HR - V does beat the 2015 Chevrolet Trax (29 mpg combined) and the 2015 Nissan
Juke (30 mpg combined).
The six - speed manual transmission previously offered on front - wheel drive models is discontinued for standard
Juke S, SV, and SL models, though it
still comes standard on the performance - oriented
Juke Nismo and Nismo RS models.
The 2013 Nissan
Juke Nismo lets you ride around with your friends, buy a big - screen TV, take the dirt road to the lake (slowly, please), and
still get those Nismo - style thrills when you take the long way home.
Still, there's always room for improvement, and with 600bhp on tap the latest
Juke - R 2.0 will be even more violently fast than its predecessor.
It
still isn't as extreme as the limited - run
Juke - R (which mated a Nissan GT - R powertrain and a
Juke body), but the 2014 Nissan
Juke Nismo RS proves the Japanese automaker is serious about amping up its Nismo product line.
Its bold styling may not have the shock value it once did, but the Nissan
Juke is
still a unique choice in the small crossover class.
Obviously, the Nismo models have more power, but the regular version
still has a strong 188hp power output — which should be enough for the needs of most
Juke buyers.
Better
still, the Nissan
Juke also gets split - folding rear seats that fold forward completely flat.
What is, though, is whether or not the Nissan
Juke can
still cut it in a class with plenty of alternatives to choose from.

still seems to feel that she made the right choice for her needs.
The bizarre supermini / 4x4 / manga cartoon character exterior has helped the
Juke climb towards the pointy end of the UK sales charts and it's
still riding high.
Nissan Australia has
still not officially confirmed if or when the NISMO brand will be launched in this country, but motoring.com.au understands it will happen in 2015 and that the local NISMO launch range will comprise only the existing GT - R, 370Z and
JUKE.
It's a classy ride among the burgeoning compact crossover set that includes entries as diverse as the now - aging yet
still sporty Nissan
Juke, who somewhat pioneered the segment here in America, and the super-quiet and not nearly as sporty Buick Encore that is selling like hotcakes in its third year on the U.S. market.
Nissan's chief creative officer Shiro Nakamura has revealed the next generation will remain «edgy and less mainstream», but acknowledged that it would
still be recognisable as a
Juke.

Juke, but the car's aggressive lines

Juke is a redesigned vehicle that pays homage to the 370z's sporty form while
still adding extra room.
We
still don't know how much the
Juke Nismo will cost, but with an arrival date of January 2013 Nissan are going to have to decide before long.
