Junior Handlers in the Obedience, Rally and Agility rings.

The GSDCA
Junior Showmanship awards were introduced to encourage young members to train and handle German Shepherd Dogs and compete
in Junior Handler Classes as defined by the ANKC age grouping and conducted at member clubs or GSDCA approved show.
Today
Junior Showmanship at Westminster is a limited class for young people who have won Best
Junior Handler awards seven times or more at AKC Licensed or Member shows
in a certain time period.

Junior Handler must have qualified for participation
in the AKC / Eukanuba National Championship show, with all 5 qualifying Open Class wins being earned while showing a Chinese Shar - Pei.
Any
Junior Handler receiving said grant must attend and exhibit
in competition or refund all monies back to CSPCA immediately.
(If the state or commonwealth
in which the
Junior Handler resides has no laws, regulations, or guidelines for home schooling, the
Junior Handler MUST be enrolled as a full - time student
in an accredited school.)
The
Junior Handler must have competition present
in their respective Open Class - a Best
Junior Handler win without CLASS COMPETITION does not qualify as an Open Class win.

Although the GSDCA has programs to recognize the success of it's
Juniors, it believes that
Juniors are motivated not by prizes but by the opportunity to exhibit
in the sport, to learn and develop as
handlers, and to met and enjoy new friends as they prepare for the future of the sport of dogs.
The
Junior Handler must be a full - time student, attending an accredited school within the jurisdiction
in which the
Junior Handler resides OR a private school, fully accredited by a recognized accreditation society, as a full - time student outside the jurisdiction of the
Junior Handler's domicile OR participate
in home - schooling under the rules and regulations for such as established by the proper jurisdiction governing home - schooling
in the
Junior Handler's domicile.
This letter must be submitted and received NO LATER than the fifteenth (15th) day of December
in the calendar year preceding their anticipated participation
in either the Westminster Kennel Club
Junior Handler Competition, the
Junior Handler competition at the CSPCA National Specialty or the AKC / Eukanuba National Championship Grant.
If a
Junior Handler exhibits a breed
in competition other than a Chinese Shar - Pei, the
Junior Handler must immediately return all funds granted to the
Junior Handler back to the CSPCA, or face loss of membership
in good standing with the CSPCA.
