While I actually earned 42,800 AAdvantage Miles for my

award from CVG - LAX for 17,500 AA miles,
booking with Avios or Southwest points would have been more that 17.5 k. I think Reduced Mileage
awards can be a great option for longer distance Domestic
flights.
