Fisker's sales never really took off, and by the time the bankrupt automaker was forced to cease manufacturing operations before heading into bankruptcy, only 1,800
Karma vehicles were sold.
Fisker also claims that if it reaches its goal of
selling 15,000
Karmas per year through 2016, those
vehicles would represent an estimated fuel saving of «941 million liters (248 million gallons) of gasoline could
be saved and 2.3 million metric tons (2.5 million US tons) of CO2».
