Cool article, I recently got a Kindle 3rd generation wifi / 3G with special offers but I think I'd rather
keep my Kindle 2nd generation with lots of collections instead of trading it in for 20 bucks Heck, for that
price I'd rather give it to one of my fans
on a giveaway
on my
website Very informative article though
- Define your book's main / secondary genre - Research the top 10 books / authors in your main genre (Amazon page,
pricing, # of likes, tags, categories, reviews, covers, book description,
websites, social media activity / presence)- Develop a positioning statement and messages that will speak to readers of this genre but also differentiate your book - Design book cover
keeping in mind what is selling in your genre and how you have positioned your book - Begin building social media presence (
website, blog, FB fan page, twitter, pinterest, tumblr, slideshare, author profiles)- Decide
on book formats (ebook, print, enhanced e-book) and distribution channels - Set the books
price competitively, relative to the competition - Create the book launch plan and budget
Amazon has previously encouraged authors to
keep list
prices in line with what they were previously, with a note
on its
website saying: «Before January 1, 2015, to set a list
price of # 1.99, you had to enter # 1.93 to ensure that your list
price would be # 1.99 once 3 % VAT was applied.
I understand the complaints about the
price as saying they need to change bout time this comes out but for the most part the complaints are like PS now is a rip off from people like AutoCad now if they
keep the
price yea it can be a rip off but to not even wait to see if they
keep this
price structure and just flat out call it a rip off or a failure is premature and unwarranted it's people like that who ruin it and cause some people to never even try it out because they think these
prices are real when it is a test and people voting with their wallets buy not renting these games in the beta will get the point across not crying about it
on random
websites cause I can bet that Sony will take notice from the people who are not renting anything before they listen to the cry babies and if you are going to complain go to the Sony blog and let them know there that is the only place they are going to check peoples reactions so crying
on N4G is just a waste of time.
