Since its launch in 2009,
Kickstarter has seen more than eight million backers fund more than 81,000
projects with over $ 1.6 billion in the fields of film, music, art, fashion, and
gaming.
So, I thought for today's post we'd take a look at 7 retro
gaming Kickstarter projects you should definitely be watching, if not pledging for!
Kickstarter has become an absolutely huge asset in the world of
gaming, as it allows smaller, independent developers the change to both raise awareness and budget for their
projects.
There are, of course, hundreds of thousands of
Kickstarter projects, but I wanted to make sure these awesome little
gaming projects are my personal favourites so far.
Jonathan Blow's strange allegorical platformer helped
kickstart the modern independent
gaming scene, showcasing Xbox Live as a venue for experimental
projects as well as deathmatches.
