Text - to - speech used to be a pretty big feature for
Kindles, but Amazon doesn't seem to be interested in evolving it much further anymore — now they'd rather push selling audiobooks instead and promote their Whispersync for Voice feature that syncs audiobooks and
ebooks together in the same
app.
I am trying to install the
ebooks app for my
kindle fire and am failing miserably.
Thanks for all the info, I was wondering if you know of an iOS
ebook app that supports doc files, because of my job I have to read a lot of documents but I don't want to convert every one to
ebook so I can read it, besides
kindle (that makes a little difficult to manage the files) do you know if something like that exists?
Like earlier
Kindles, it can displays
ebooks from Amazon, but it also doubles as a multimedia device for music, videos, email, web browsing, and all the multitude of other things that can be done with the thousands of Android
apps available in the Amazon appstore and beyond.
Amazon's big enough that selling
ebooks only for
Kindles and Kindle
apps is okay, even though it still doesn't make sense to me.
After some research into
eBooks, I found that Kindle books do not have page numbers (the font size can be adjusted on
Kindles or Kindle Reading
Apps making page numbers unusable) so
eBooks are measured by word count.
It's kind of like Amazon subbing out the Kindle store to a company — let's call them Monkey Brain Books — that sells
Kindles to inner city zoologists and decides to put their brand name on the existing Kindle
ebook store that's been around for years, and redo the
apps to say Monkey Brain Books.
I've put together dozens of how to and tutorial articles for Kindle devices and
apps over the years, and I wanted to take the best of those guides and articles, along with everything I've learned, and put it all together into an easy - to - use
ebook made specifically for
Kindles.
They are also available as
ebooks from Amazon to all types of ereaders including
Kindles or there is a free Kindle Reading
App for you to use on any other sort of tablet, phone or PC reading device.

kindle gets locked down then we'll all go an download some other
ebook reading
app for our non-kidle hardware devices and let the
kindles whither on the vine.

i hope that Microsoft studies what

kindle fire has and duplicates it some way because most people uses tablets for Email, Video and music Entertainment, shoping and buying items, reading
ebooks, Games and surfing the the web for information.

Kindle could come up with a concept like this for
kindle 4 and have the rumored android device more as a entertainment device that has it download store movies, android
apps,
kindle, mp3 music all on one device to take on ipad than I might be a little more intrested I just can't see paying for a device from a company that has called chapter 11 and and have a canadian
ebook company that can't get the rights to some of the better american author like apple and amazon has done

eBooks will equally display the same level of quality on your devices: EPUB will be suitable for most eReaders whereas MOBI is compatible with the
