Kratos» adventures have always looked spectacular and been a joy to be a part of, so it'd be a real treat to
get even a tiny peek of God Of War: Ascension especially if it shows how the gameplay's been reworked.

getting a new adventure on Sony's newest machine just yet, but he will definitely ba making an appearance via a God of War III remake.

The game - play is going be substantially different than what fans are used to, starting with the weaponry:
Kratos isn't
getting his Blades of Chaos back (which he lost in GOW3), instead wielding a massive battle axe (Leviathan) which he can throw and have return to him.
Combat-wise,
Kratos is still feisty and deadly when provoked, though using his Leviathan Axe can take some time to
get used to.
And while
Kratos has a checkered past, he's once again a father, so we
get to see a new dynamic of the storied antihero.
With the decent amount of combos to use, the game manages to still retain its stylish combos, especially the take downs of
Kratos when the enemy
gets stunned.

What a lot of people do nt
get is that
kratos isnt trying to do all those stuff in front of his kid.
I do find it annoying that
Kratos can punch apart boulders and swing full size trees but needs his kid and a chain to
get up a 5 foot cliff face.
I love the game but
Kratos ain't
got nothing on Aloy's skills.
Kratos had too large of a range and with Parappa there was no way of
getting out of his punches combo which was really frustrating.
Kratos has enlisted a race of behemoths to help him ascend Zeus» stronghold, rend it piece by piece and finally exact revenge for, well... the list is
getting long at this point.

What especially depressed me about it was how I was lead to believe Ascension was going to take place before he slew his family, so we would
get at chance to play as
Kratos when he was younger and not quite as vengeful.
We still don't have a specific release date for the game, but we did
get to see some more action and bonding between
Kratos and his son Atreus.
It's also possible to remove
Kratos, Atreus, or NPCs from the shots entirely if you want to focus on landscape photography, or if one pesky enemy was
getting in the way of framing the perfect photo of
Kratos's face.
It's this level of intimacy with
Kratos and Arteus that goes a long way in bringing you into their world and letting you be a part of this journey and not just feel like you're
getting the highlight reel.
Depending on the skills you have unlocked, you can aim
Kratos» Leviathan ax like a sniper rifle to
get precision headshots at range, or you can send it spinning into a crowd of hostiles like a whirling dervish of death.
