The National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) has announced that it is working to develop advice for school leaders on how to better support
LGBT staff in schools.

in place, and funding for
LGBT homeless youth services, senior services, and the capital needs of the
LGBT Community Center.
The NAHT will be inviting a number of
LGBT organisations to work with them to develop advice for
school leaders on how to support
staff to be open about their own sexuality or gender
in school and how to create a inclusive
school environment.

LGBT young people surveyed experienced extensive harassment and / or discrimination
in New York City
schools, both by peers and by
