I am very grateful for the support of
LLL moms because they have helped me to carry on breastfeeding without judging me, so I now feel I can trust them to support me in my battle to quit smoking.

I've met
mom friends at
LLL meetings.
Wait a second, I thought, those names I've heard or read somewhere recently... and opening
mom's book, there they were — not
mom's group, as I had thought, but the seven Founders» signatures and little notes — «mother to mother» and «happy
LLL living.»
And all three
moms thought
LLL to be something other than we really are.

As a
mom, an
LLL Leader, and an IBCLC, I have a great interest in the customs of breastfeeding and parenting in all cultures.
Getting local support through IBCLC (lactation consultants),
LLL (La Leche League) or through hospital or community new
moms groups will be beneficial for you.
Our Bradley Method instructor encouraged me to attend
LLL meetings while pregnant to meet other like - minded
moms, but I didn't make it a priority to go.
The Space Coast
LLL Facebook group is specifically for
moms to share experiences and support each other.
I think more
LLL leaders need to be informed about IGT, because they all told me I wasn't doing enough, that EVERY
mom can breastfeed.
My husband was extended breastfed as were all 5 of his siblings... his
mom was a
lll leader too.
This last
LLL meeting I was at was very intense, as quite a few
moms have been getting severe backlash for «extended» nursing.
We invited all of the
moms, dads, Leaders, community members, and the children too to think about the words or phrases they would use to describe their positive experiences and associations from being a part of the
LLL community.
Find other twin
moms who have nursed (reach out to your local
LLL Leader for help), a good IBCLC, people willing to entertain your older child, and help around the house in the early months.
I am so glad to see that you have information about
LLL to assist
moms with nursing.
At an
LLL meeting you will find knowledgeable leaders and other breastfeeding
moms.
LLL «leaders» are
moms who have successfully breastfed their own children and want to offer support and encouragement to other
moms.
I agree the best advise that can be given to a
mom seekin help is
LLL or an IBCLC number.

Mom e-mailed me four weeks after our first contact and was happy to report that the
LLL leader had been able to help her get the baby back to the breast by the use of a supplemental nursing system.

mom to a
LLL leader in her area because she stated she could not afford continued visits with a lactation consultant.
