family currently consists of Peanut, a long - haired Chihuahua; Reagan, a German Sheperd; Savannah, a
Labradoodle; Cherith and Sophia, both energetic Boston Terriers that
are their «Grand
Dogs» and Foggy, a Hyacinth Macaw.
While many people consider the
Labradoodle to
be great for
families that have trouble with allergies, this
dog is not a non-shedding breed and it can in fact cause allergic reactions in some people.
I babysit a little boy for this
family and they have a
labradoodle so I
am with him a lot and recently I have
been dog sitting him while the
family I work for
is on vacation and I have
been noticing that when ever he lays down he starts breathing really hard and fast and you can hear the air going through his nose every time he breathes like his nasal passage
is blocked and he
's trying to clear it or something and his chest moves up and down like a kid who
is about to have an asthma attack and he coughs and burps a lot.
Many
Labradoodles have served successfully as service
dogs, but most
are family pets.
Happily, the majority of
Labradoodles are bright, intelligent, attractive
dogs who have the potential to
be wonderful
family pets.
I've
been searching for an Australian
Labradoodle recently as we
are in excitedly in search of a great
family dog and I've read wonderful things about the breed.
