Lacazette to remain, that his star striker could still
leave the club this
summer if the right bid comes
in.
So
in my opinion, this story makes complete sense as a # 40 million swoop for
Lacazette would
leave Arsenal with more money to finance moves for the rest of their
summer targets.
I know a lot of you will want the
summer striker signing
Lacazette there but with Alexis Sanchez definitely out I would play him on the
left and use Giroud's aerial ability, presence and link up play
in a match which we are likely to dominate anyway.
Arsenal have so far failed to bring
in any midfielders, signing only
left - back Sead Kolasinac and striker Alexandre
Lacazette this
summer, and could well believe that strengthening their midfield would be a positive move.
There was much made of Arsene Wenger's «# 100 million war chest» at the beginning of the
summer, and having already spent # 53m of it on Alexandre
Lacazette, it would appear that there is only enough
left in the kitty for either Lemar or Mahrez, unless the Gunners offload one of the higher - priced stars to increase their buying power.
