We need better though but I'm in full 100 % support
of the purchase
of Shkrodan Mustafi and Lucas Perez.Mustafi can help Koscielny now.I've been saying it here time and time again that it's not a world clsss striker we have needed but a clinical finisher which we have
lacked for several seasons and counting.Hopefully this guy puts Giroud where he belongs which is on the bench.Though a world class striker is good what we have
lacked is someone who puts the
game to bed in clinical fashion but Arsene Wenger has listened to many people to the extent that if he can't get a world class striker then he can get anyone. If Arsenal had a clinical finisher for some five seasons or so we coulda won the EPL then.Giroud has cost us matches and will continue to cost us matches.Giroud is half decent as someone said here the last time.I expect Perez to be much better if he can
take on his man and be clinical in front
of goal.
If more supporters
took this approach rather than boycotting
games and protesting inside / outside the ground then the board would soon get the message when sponsors, retailers, concessionaires etc see a
lack of income.
But unfortunately, Mr wenger went for Lucas Perez who has no aerial

Any other coach but Adolph Rupp would have been satisfied with an 18 - 7 record, but The Baron, audibly piqued because Kentucky wasn't tournament - bound for the first time in seven years,
took occasion to blame his troubles on 1) the school band, which stopped tooting for the Wildcats after midyear exams left most
of its members on probation; 2) student fans, who were absent in droves for the final
game; 3) the
lack of a more intensive recruiting program.
Disgracefully, I actually read after this
game that SOME journos thought that Auba, in a great team spirited and unselfish way, allowing Lacazette to
take the penalty, ACTUALLY showed - and get this — a
lack of personal ambition and ruthlessness.
With David Ospina, Debuchy and Arteta also
taking no part in tomorrow's

lack of defensive options is yet again highlighted, but Wenger also revealed that Theo Walcott will need more time to get a starting spot in the team.
Wenger has received plenty

of football in the past but has also been accused
of lacking the pragmatism to do what it

Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and
lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love
of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both
of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste
of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment
of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to
take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their
game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think
of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
He's good, make no mistake but the
lack of games for him
took the toll.
I also point to his
lack of fouls as a weakness in his
game, yes it sounds all well and good a defender who wont give away free kicks, but there are times a CB must commit a foul, there have been countless times where he has been beaten for pace and should have
took a yellow card and brought his man down, but he doesn't.
Let's face it goalkeepers tend to march to the beat
of a different drum and Szczesny certainly fell into that category, but most
of his antics were relatively harmless and simply reflected a certain level
of immaturity that isn't uncommon for someone thrust into the limelight at such a young age... lord knows we've seen that happen with numerous players throughout the years and very few were ever banished for such behaviour... the only on - field action that drove me crazy was his inability to
take a deep breath and not try to rush the play with an ill - timed throw at certain points in the
game when common sense suggested holding the ball and slowing things down... the fact that he continued to do this probably had a lot to do with the glaring
lack of coaching time spent with the goalkeepers... ultimately he made the fateful decision to
take his frustrations out into the public sphere and paid dearly for it... in the end, his services were wanted by several
of the best Italian squads, which is significant considering the historical importance placed on the defensive side
of the ball in Serie A... all I know is that if someone asked me to pick the most athletically gifted goalkeeper we have had in our squad since the arrival
of Wenger, without hesitation, he would be my pick and for that reason his departure is more than a little disappointing... what else is new though
The problem with AFC aside from the gutless money grabbing glory shy board, owners and manager is fans like the writer
of this inane ridiculous article; fans who more than satisfied with mediocrity and
take delight in trotting out silly stats to back up their
lack of ambition and will... 2 loses in 15
games the writer said but conveniently forgetting to mention what impact the 2 loses had on the table, moral and the significance
of winning these 2 matches.....

I loathe to blame Wenger usually but his inability to replace Cazorla, sale
of a target man and brute force DM, and his inability to improve the areas our

Arteta had a better

Are they tired, didn't they sleep well, did they eat some kind

Speculation surrounding his future meant Bale didn't

Not a certainty for this

With the
lack of an elite center available, which is our other real need — Larkin has grown into a really good two - way center, but unless he really
takes his goal scoring to the next level I don't think he has the ability to
take a
game over night in and night out — I think we'll be going with the best «sizable» defenseman on the board.
While mainstream football fans have all but given up on the All - Star exhibition, sports bettors have been
taking advantage
of the
lack of defense the

Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass
of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player has to possess a more well - rounded
game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends
of the pitch, but they must have the ability to
take their
game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best
of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note
of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many
of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or
lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out
of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss
of Cazorla, who
took a lot
of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk
of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type
of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments
of greatness undercut by long periods
of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
despite their
lack of fitness they still dominated possession and chunks
of midfield... think with a couple
of additions the
game on the 13th can be ours for the
taking though
It's draining we lost to spurs but more over than anything the way we lost was embarrasseing and shocking we were played off park most
game that has concern us as fans spurs bullied us out played us hungry in every department it's has fall with wenger when is time when he just accepts
game has passed him matter
of fact it has passed us arsenal fans aswell no control in middle very poor from xhaka and elneny and again dembele bought mortgage in midfield he's the owner my god vieria would
of knocked he's house down but look we're very poor and away from home sad really how wenger keeps he's job is just pure stupidity but not just with today's results over all away from home we're relegation side go get Enrique before Chelsea get him and let but
of class and youth
take our great club back before Tottenham spuds leave us so far behind we won't even complete this series
lack lustrous club
Maybe leaving Welbeck out is understandable given his long spell out through injury and his
lack of game time, but I would have
taken him as Welbeck has proven his worth to the three lions time and again and with Rooney and Harry Kane out Southgate was left with few options.
Negative feelings about the direction
of the team
of course contributed to the
lack of pre-sold tickets, but I guarantee you a lot more people would have
taken a flier on going to the
game, especially after sweeping in Detroit, if it had been a gorgeous day.
I can not
take another season
of «Hand - O - Stone» Biz... seems like a wonder human being but his
lack of game kills us.
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition
of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release
of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state
of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid
of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy
of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid
of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid
of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction
of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return
of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort
of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative
of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition
of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle
of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it
takes to get that player into the fold without any
of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind
of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his
lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result
of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest
of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands
of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none
of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club
of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid
of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field
of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version
of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history
of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet
of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival
of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone
of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players
of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that
of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part
of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the
game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet
of those who were well aware all along
of the potential pitfalls
of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
But after all the years it had
taken Coquelin to show this strength and with some parts
of his
game, namely his passing ability, still
lacking, the articles I wrote about his brilliant stats putting him right up there with the best in the Premier League were often dimissed.
Xhaka is well up for a tackle, and should supposedly end our
lack of bite in midfield, you merely have to
take a look at his woeful disciplinary record to see this, averaging a yellow every 5
games and a red every 10.
Which is the
lack of game time that a few Arsenal players are gettning (speaking mostly in reference to Chambers, Gibbs and Campbell) im paraphrasing here but the basis
of his argument is how do you expect a player to be able come
of the bench and be capable
of doing a job for team and perform competently with a very limited or no
game experience... Considering we have Chelsea at the weekend it seems t would be a great time to start giving those players
game experience and resting a few
of the starting 11 perhaps with the exception
of Walcott i'd like for him to get more
game time at Cf... his finishing is diabolical... and learning how to pay as a striker
takes time.
Certainly the quality or
lack there
of doesn't help me but for me he
lacks the armoury to really
take a
game by the scruff himself.
Because as much as people would proclaim how good he is at holdup play, sometimes his
lack of mobility upfront leaves him isolated in
games where he faces the good defenders, The John Terry's and The Kompany's its obcious Giroud's not stronger than them, and the fact he is not the most skillful or fastest
taking on defenders means more than often in those
games having him on in a lost cause.
I am more concerned about the number
of MF players we have, cup and CL
taken into consideration a lot
of them are going to struggle for
game time and so say Rosicky has already commented about his
lack of minutes so far this season.
With Arsenal failing to
take games by the scruff
of the neck this season, and allowing themselves to tamely drop away from the title chase against Leicester, there has been much discussion about the fact that Arsenal have been
lacking an inspirational leader on the pitch to goad the players into action when their heads are dropping.
He spent most
of the elite 8

In an instant, all the moaning about their contribution, place in the team,
lack of end product,
taking squad places, hindering the rebuild, etc., disappeared, and was replaced with an enormous outpouring
of good will that manifested in incredibly emotional scenes in their final three
games.
Liverpool
lacked both creativity and patience: far too often, Liverpool would shoot from outside
of the box (52pc
of all shots came from outside
of the box): Chamberlain, Can, Gomez and Matip all immediately come to my mind when I go over the chances, but the most remarkable thing about this
game though is that despite Liverpool either getting or executing their tactics so wrong, Liverpool still managed to create enough chances to win, but under pressure, fluffed their lines,
take a look at the chances below:
The player is yet to agree personal terms but given his
lack of game time and exclusion from the preseason, it would
take a miracle or an extremely shoddy offer from Porto to scupper a deal at this point.
We are a much better side with Flamini in instead
of Arteta, the first half hour vs Newcastle was as good a tempo as weve played at and he was the driving force, I was a huge Arteta fan but I reallydont know what he brings to the table the way Wenger is using him, hes
lacking pace and conceding more and more fouls in 50 / 50s, also he
takes the speed out
of our passing
game with slow predictable backward passing, its fine when your ahead but kills us when we are chasing a win.
Gibbs: [5.5 / 10] Monreal has been preferred over Gibbs in recent weeks, and the
lack of game time has certainly
taken its toll on the Englishman.
They have conceded in each
of their last five home
games as well and really should be there for the
taking given their
lack of scoring.
A
lack of inventiveness is hurting them, and nobody
took a stranglehold on the
game.
Their body language in the Barca
game, after Van Persie's dismissal, portrayed their
lack of belief in scoring one more goal, which would have
taken them through.
The
lack of common sense used during the match was also staggering, such as allowing Southampton to
take four or five minutes out
of the
game as Jose Fonte had his head bandaged two yards away from the edge
of the pitch, when he could have easily stepped off and not disrupted the flow
of the
game.
EVery one our players would get into premier side, today they were pathetic, Wenger can not be blamed for on field performance these players must
take the blame for a
game of utter
lack of effort or skill.Bellerin had the worst
game wearing a Arsenal shirt.
