What this film seriously
lacks in a coherent and discernable plot and
character development, it more than makes up for it with tons of style, great cinematography, and
well - placed tension.
Unfortunately the show is just kinda dumb after that... the scripted dialogue ranges from generic to awful; the
characters are pantomimes, you know exactly whether they're
good or bad right up front, and the show
lacks any sort of organic
development or growth, you just don't get into it like you would on a
better created and wriiten show.everything is so predictable that by the time big jim kills his nth person it's just sort of «meh whatever» time.
«The Grudge» suffers from a
lack of
character development and several minor gaffes in its own internal logic, as
well as the kind of often nonsensical horror - movie plot calculation that leaves shamelessly obvious openings for endless sequels.
While the casting of Crispin Glover as a disassociated loner who discovers he has the power to talk to rats is sort of inspired, «X Files» expat writer Glen Morgan's Willard suffers (and yes, I feel silly for saying this) from a

Courtney fairs a little
better as Reese because the
character gets more (welcome)
development than he has in the previous films; he
lacks the fierce energy that Michael Biehn originally brought to the part though.
While the movies contains some of the
best fight scenes I have ever scene, an all star cast, and a beautiful leading lady, it completely
lacked in story,
