Arsenal have now started the short run of pre-season games in preparation for the tough start to a crucial Premier League season in which the pressure on Arsene Wenger and the
players to mount a serious title challenge is greater than ever after blowing what appeared to be a golden chance
last time around and with the gap since our
last successful campaign now more than 12 years.

players during matches.

For the
last several weeks, we've been playing
around with some trades but that's because the majority of us don't really see the Cowboys picking 10
players... while unloading some later picks that would have a hard
time making the roster.
The
last time the contract offers were widely reported, it was understood the club was offering
around # 160 - 180k each for the

He hardly lie if psg want him it's good sign he's rated simple as that and let's be fair he's cracking manager he had just ran out ideas now people are saying wenger not good manager grow up there's a lot more to wat is going on behind scenes while I do think he should have left
last summer or before he didn't because he really believes he can turn it
around but sadly he can't I'd love if he did we all would if da invincibles man keep bk for just one good season we would all be in heaven we prop cry if wenger won us league again but please don't say he can't manage haha stop he's top manager he has just lost
players and when he leaves truth will cum out but before anyone thumbs me down it's
time for great man step down with dignity and class it really is and go get younger manager up coming class act we need
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current
players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these
players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better
last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed
last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of
last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong
times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and
around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many
times since arriving and that the
players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill
players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at
times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross
around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
coquelin is a decent
player but overrated by many fans because he did fill a gap a couple of seasons ago when he came back from charlton and did it well... but like ramsey running
around non-stop is not in itself the defining feature of a quality footballer for a DM tackling, positioning, link up play and passing are equally important coquelin is excellent on two of these good on one and poor on
last two... xhaka overall is a better DM and should be starting all the
time to make him an integral part of a cohesive set up
Wilshere needs another manager to improve... I have a lot of
time for him but he stands
around too much waiting for ball whereas before he used to hunt for the ball... but whatever happens we are 6
players short of a quality team... years of penny pinching and over indulging crap
players by a clueless manager who is a legend in his own mind... people go on about guardiolas spending in the summer but the team we are now watching play the best football in epl history only has 2 new additions from
last year Emerson and walker... I guess mendy would start if fit... we have 2 new
players too but we are further behind than ever!!
For some
time now, when free agency rolls
around, a lot of people here have pined for Packers
players, but never pried them loose, until
last year when we got J C tretter in here.
This is not a problem that started today but rather has been
around for the
last decade. To start with, everyone knew we would fall short at the secound half of the season for lack of enough depth in quality and the outcome now isn't surprising to most pple especially our rivals... wenger himself said we had enough quality to challenge in all front and even went further to say there were no
players out there who cld improve us.i have said many
times that half of this squad is average and can not achieve much.with klopp, mou, conte / simeone and pep
around nxt season then lets see how this blemish «Angel» of our is gonna fair out.Nxt season will even get worse.for arsenal the phrase is «IT»S DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN»!!!
players like Ozil always present the fans with a bit of a conundrum, especially when
times are tough... if you look
around the sporting world every once in awhile there emerges a
player with incredible skill, like Ozil, Matt Sundin or even Jay Cutler, who have a different way about themselves... their movement seemed almost too lackadaisical, so much so that it seemed to suggest indifference or even disinterest on the part of the
player... their posture always appears somewhat mopey and they generally have an unflattering «sour puss» expression on their face... for some their above average skills are enough to keep them squarely in the mix, as their respective teams try desperately to find a way to get the best out of them visa vie
player acquisitions or the reworking of tactics... when things go according to planned the fans usually find a way to accept their unique disposition, whereas when things go awry they become easy targets for fans and pundits alike... in the case of Ozil and Sundin, their successes on the international stage and / or with their former teams led many to conclude that if we surrounded such talented individuals with
players that have those skills that would most likely bring the best of these
players success would surely follow... unfortunately both the Maple Leafs and our club chose to adopt half - measures, as each were being run by corporations who valued profitability over providing the best possible product on the field... for them, they cared more about shirt sales and season tickets than doing whatever was necessary... this isn't, by any stretch, an attempt to absolve Ozil of any responsibility for his failures on the pitch... there is no doubt oftentimes his efforts were underwhelming, to say the least, but this club has been inept when it comes to providing this prolific passer with the kind of
players necessary for him to flourish... with our poor man's version of Benzema up front, the headless chickens in Walcott, the younger Ox and Welbeck occupying wide positions far too often and the fact that Carzola, who provided Ozil with great service and more freedom to roam, was never truly replaced, the only real skilled outlet on the pitch was Sanchez... remember to be considered a world - class set - up man goals need to be scored and for much of his
time here he has been surrounded by some incredibly inept finishers... in the end, I'm not sure how long he will be in North London, recent sentiments and his present contract situation seem to suggest that he will depart at season's end, but how tragic would it be if once again we didn't put our best foot forward and failed to make those moves that could have brought championship football back to our once beloved club... so when you think about this uniquely skilled
player don't be so quick to shift all the blame on his shoulders because he will not be the first or the
last highly skilled
player to find disappointment at the Emirates if we don't rid the club of those individuals that are truly to blame for our current woes
Arsenal were the best of the rest
last time around but that does not mean that we are confident of winning it if we finish above the Foxes this
time but one way Arsene Wenger could make that a lot more likely is to sign one of their best
players.
Just like the
last time Arsenal were preparing for a Premier League game, most of the concern about out opponents is centred
around one
player.
Although it will be incredibly difficult to ever match his contributions on the pitch, it's vitally important for a former club legend, like Henry, to publicly address his concerns regarding the direction of this club... regardless of those who still feel that Henry has some sort of agenda due to the backlash he received following earlier comments he made on air regarding Arsenal, he has an intimate understanding of the game, he knows the fans are being hosed and he feels some sense of obligation, both professionally and personally, to tell it like he sees it... much like I've continually expressed over the
last couple months, this team isn't evolving under this current ownership / management team... instead we are currently experiencing a «stagnant» phase in our club's storied history... a fact that can't be hidden by simply changing the formation or bringing in one or two individuals... this team needs fundamental change in the way it conducts business both on and off the pitch or it will continue to slowly devolve into a second tier club... regardless of the euphoria surrounding our escape act on Friday evening, as it stands, this club is more likely to be fighting for a Europa League spot for the foreseeable future than a top 4 finish... we can't hope for the failures of others to secure our place in the top 4, we need to be the manufacturers of our own success by doing whatever is necessary to evolve as an organization... if Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke can't take the necessary steps following the debacle they manufactured
last season, their removal is imperative for our future success... unfortunately, I strongly believe that either they don't know how to proceed in the present economic climate or they are unwilling to do whatever it takes to turn this ship
around... just look at the current state of our squad, none of our world class
players are under contract beyond this season, we have a ridiculous wage bill considering the results, we can't sell our deadwood because we've mismanaged our personnel decisions and contractual obligations, we haven't properly cultivated our younger talent and we might have become one of the worst clubs ever when it comes to way we handle our transfer business, which under Dein was one of our greatest assets... it's
time to get things right!!!
Of course there are several other common concerns, like Monreal playing against any top competition, since he proved
last year, especially against Bayern, that he will give any class
player his dominant foot in and
around the box
time and
time again, or that we still haven't found anyone, other than the mopey Ozil, that can distribute the ball from deeper lying positions, minus the occasional gem from Xhaka, which means that we still spend way too much
time trying to pass the ball into the net, but I'll save that for another
time
This
time around, there wasn't any
last minute scramble for
players by Arsenal as we had already wrapped up the signing of Xhaka before the European championship started, and had concluded the Perez and Mustafi deals earlier in the week.
swansea made a mistake by sacking their manager, they may have been losing games but they, ve had a difficult fixtures list.they, ve lost against better teams but lately they had been playing well and been unlucky too, you could see the
players giving everything for their manager, i truly believe given
time he would have turned things
around and deserved it for keeping them up
last season.the appointment of the new manager is a way for the new owners to stamp their authority on the club / to announce that the americans have arrived in town, no one can say that bradley was the best man available for the job / big mistake i say!!
He looks stronger than
last season, is a world class
player who simply needs fast runners (who can hopefully finish)
around him and he can pull that wonder pass out of the bag at any
time, of course he should play.
Despite their poor showing against Man United
last time around, Everton are a decent side sitting just four points off the top four and with
players like Lukaku, Mirallas, Colemanm Stones and Barkley they could give the Gunners real problems if we are not at our best.
I started googling way back in may who could we be buying gonzalo higuian, julio cesar and wayne rooney but realize going by history wenger just as no interest in buying world class
players, he wants 2 buy d grade
players and turn them up to koscienly nd nasri that will take years while da arsenal faithful pay handsome figures for dismal performances, fans allowed wenger 2 get away when he gets away with these lucky matches of fenerbache been strong on paper but a waste of tym on the pitch, also it happen at bayern but they put a slighty weak team but wenger runt his mouth
around of how good da team was after that 2 - 0 win, not forgetting it was bould that got the team defense looking solid while wenger moan about referee decisions and no blame on team, I just feel we (arsenal) have allowed wenger and co to misuse us, so now our main target aim is benzema yet giroud plays more often than him for france, can any1 see how wenger is lowing our standards and expectations at arsenal, I wil be over da moon if wenger does not sign an extension wit us, after the gilberto days and disaterous results and teams we play, his approach to the game defensely which is pathetic and his annoying behaviour. So what if manu and chelski haven't really bought they are already strong it was seen
last week now we should be worried about our selves since that villa defeat, jst imagine what the man's and london money maniac's are goin 2 do to us, I can see it already coming from wenger, if we find the right
player we will buy him, after sept2, we didn't find da right
player but the squad can challenge for the title, its so sick having 2 hear that crap, just take him psg, I just wish the fans would say we had enough of this bullshit transfer policies its
time we stood up against these pigs of directors by protesting!
Instead of losing Alexis for nothing, they gain another attacking
player out from the death trap that is Jose Mourinho (see: Kevin de Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Memphis Depay, and the pedestrian season Eden Hazard threw up during Mourinho's
last half - season at Chelsea his second
time around that club) for fucking free!
BWRAO: While there's a good number of the same
players around from the
last time Barcelona won the Champions League four years ago, how does this team compare to that one?
At the
time of writing, Tottenham have signed 2
players, both defenders, and have sold
around 7
players, so essentially it is the same team as
last season, just missing half the bench.
A turn
around of
players for a directly comparable match 11 months ago, with only 36 % who started
last time, turning out this
time, is a huge turnover.
In defence the personnel is exactly the same as
last time around but the crucial fact is that each and every
player is a year older.
Have a look at the

last year
around this
time and the year before.
Van Persie had a wonderful season
last time around but the combination of Giroud and Podolski, two
players that are all about scoring, leaves us in a strong position to cover his absence.
This
time around, there have been reliable reports released over the
last 24 hours that the manager has now been given full and final say on the matter — that if Klopp wants to keep Coutinho, for another six months or indefinitely, he will be backed to do so; if Klopp wants to sell the
player as he feels he isn't committed to his project, he will be allowed to do so.
It's been a difficult
last few months for Liverpool and everyone involved at the club, after a terrible run of results, but their victory in the Merseyside Derby, one which heated and did have it's controversial moments, may just have lifted the mood in the camp and perhaps by the
time May does come
around next year the Liverpool
players can look upon this part of the season as the pinnacle point in the season, the point where their season changed for the good... at long
last!
As I noted
last time around, the problem we have is that football clubs tend not to point the finger at each other very often, as they have to do business with each other, and a row with WHU now, could mean a failure to buy a
player from there in the future.
The single

lasts around ten hours and that felt like just the right amount of
time.

around hundreds of CD's!
Out on the battlefield, the control scheme reflects the fast - paced action of the single -
player, as in aiming is tighter than
last time around, and enemies won't take quite as many hits.
Allowing up to six
players (with a supposedly unlimited number available due to modding) to run
around hacking and slashing every bad guy in sight it's a massive step forward since the
last game felt so lonely at
times.
Hopefully the six week wait
time for PC
players will lead to a much better port than the
last time around.
Having said all that this is still a very good football game, it is just that this
time around the improvements on the
last version are really not worth the cost of the upgrade to the casual
player.
The big addition, for those with living rooms the size of zeppelin hangars at least, is simultaneous two -
player modes — far beyond the wafer - thin multiplayer of
last time around.
As with
last year's iteration, choosing the right training options is vital to any preparation, but this this
time around,

At the beginning the online elements feel like a nice option, but by the

Unlike the
last two games,
players will only be controlling Lightning this
time around, but there will be lots of familiar faces popping up throughout the story.
