We'll probably
sack the Europa
League and just focus on the title and I'd like us to have our best
squad available.
Manuel Pellegrini's currently having a hard - time of it and after the Premier
League champions shock defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace on Monday, the Chilean will have to rectify his
squad's deficiencies in the summer or face the
sack.
Every year when Arsenal go through a bad patch (like losing ONE out of the first TEN
League games lol) the fans start calling for Wenger to be
sacked, but surely he has had to cope with players returning from the World Cup, an unbelievable injury list, blending new players into the
squad, and he has STILL managed to get us up into Fourth place already.
With the quality in our
squad, and the desperation to win, or at least go further in the Champions
League, to go out against a side like Monaco requires a
sacking of the manager.
I am against him being
sack 3/4 through the season but clearly a statement that he will leave come summer in the next couple of days could go a long way of injecting energy and life into the
squad and making a push to win the Europa
League (unlikely but who knows).
There is still much to play for of course, with the Premier
League title, Champions
League places and relegation to the Championship still undecided, but managers - providing they're not about to be
sacked - will have already identified the main areas of weakness within their
squads.
McClaren fared little better at Newcastle and heavy spending failed to address the inadequacies in his
squad before he was
sacked in March with the Magpies on the brink of relegation from the Premier
League.
