The consortium fosters spaces of professional

When it

assessment, this seems to be a common misconception: Some educators mistakenly believe that longer tests are always better measures of student
learning.
Giving students choice when it
comes to turning in an assignment or completing an
assessment so that the
learning is more meaningful
Further, if your goal is to know if individual students are progressing in their
learning then there are far more important tools that could be used by teachers in formative
assessments without any stakes attached that could inform them and parents far more effectively than a mass standardized test whose results
come back well into the following school year.
These
assessments measure core content knowledge and complex problem solving skills thus supporting the deeper
learning claim that its two - for - one effects were more powerful alone as well as together than the
learning coming results of a factory school.

come away with a better understanding of how students who have clear expectations and understand the relevance of their
