The Limited License
Legal Technician Board has ongoing authority to adopt policies for the administration of the LLLT license and to recommend and develop practice areas under authority granted by the Washington Supreme Court under Rule 28 of the Admission and Practice Rules (APR).
In December 2012 the State Supreme Court appointed me to chair the Limited License
Legal Technician Board.
The legal technician board is looking into in terms of making it mandatory to have the attorneys sign off on hours that are actually worked.

Colleges may apply to the LLLT
Board to offer the

Technicians who change their name, through a
legal name change, e.g., marriage or divorce, must notify the
Board of the change within 10 days of receipt of the
legal document effecting the change.
The
Board's records and a
technician's certificate must accurately reflect their
legal name.
Violations may be reviewed by the employer, by
legal authorities, or by the Pharmacy
Technician Certification
Board.
