Lifeline last year after discovering Pawmetto
Lifeline through a good friend of mine who sponsored a
dog on PawmettoLifeline's HEART Rescue Collaboration program.; I sponsored one too and then asked how I could use my photography to join the cause and continue to help.
Most village members do not realize it, but they are providing a
lifeline to both the owner and the
dog.
Dogs have the incredible ability to just make you SMILE, so my time at Pawmetto
Lifeline is one the highlights of my week.
Emily (a Pawmetto
Lifeline volunteer) and I sometimes have to go to great lengths to put the
dogs at ease, to get «perky ears», to make them comfortable and happy, so that they feel safe being themselves, all while trying to keep them in good light for the camera, being aware of our surroundings, and keeping our own bodies out of the frame (Emily is a master at this!).

dogs every Saturday at 10:00 am, 11:00 am for large
dogs, 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm for small
dogs and puppies (no
dogs over 30 lbs), and 2:00 pm for our large puppies (over 30 lbs).

Funding from a Grey Muzzle grant supplements an integral element of Pawmetto
Lifeline's Pet Retention Program - Sophie's Good Samaritan Medical Fund, which helps
dogs with medical needs, many of which are considered «senior
dogs».
In 2003,
LifeLine Animal Project opened its first shelter in Avondale Estates designed for
dogs and cats with special needs, such as those with heartworms or those having been abused, often the first to be put down in many shelters.
She has helped at adoption events, vaccine clinics, participated as a vendor at Petapalooza and has even transported a
dog or two to K9
Lifelines for daycare.
Pawmetto
Lifeline believes in treating pets with compassionate care and treating your
dogs and cats like they are family members.
During the month of May, Pawmetto
Lifeline will be participating in a national adoption campaign (partnering with Best Friends Animal Society) featuring black
dogs and cats in need of forever homes.

LifeLine Animal Project became more determined than ever to find this friendly, gentle, dying
dog a home with someone who would become a foster hospice parent.
Pawmetto
Lifeline rescued 17 breeder
dogs from a backyard breeder right before a major ice storm in February of 2014.
In addition to their two county shelters,
LifeLine has a
Dog House and Kitty Motel Shelter, a Cat Adoptions Center and two low - cost spay / neuter clinics.

dogs, Hector and Autumn, are doing fantastic jobs in their acting debuts in Serenbe Playhouse...
Amazingly, there was another
dog who stood faithfully by her side — he had apparently stayed with her for those two days and barked nonstop for help until someone finally found them and called
Lifeline Animal Project.
Advocating to «adopt» over «shop» for companion pets,
LifeLine Animal Project cares for more animals than any other welfare group in the Atlanta metro area, over 27,000 in 2015 and has been making strides since its induction in 2002 to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable
dogs and cats in the Atlanta area.
Throughout June, all
dogs and cats six months and over may be adopted for FREE at any of
LifeLine's shelters, including DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS), Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS),
LifeLine's
Dog House and Kitty Motel and
LifeLine's Cat Adoption Center.
At
LifeLine's two spay & neuter clinics, they have fixed over 85,000
dogs and cats at low or no cost to owners!
