roasting bag (
like for
roasts or
turkeys) works very well around the pan and has no chance (if the bag isn't ripped) of leaking at all.
I don't have all the leftover
turkey I would
like this year, so I will file this away until next year OR until I break down and
roast my own
turkey this winter.

A typical full day of eating for me looks
like: Breakfast: Spinach, Mushroom, Onion and Tomato Frittata... sometimes with bacon or homemade sausage Iced Coffee with coconut milk Lunch (this is usually my largest meal of the day): 4 - 5 ounces of protein (
turkey burger, pulled pork, chicken thighs, ground buffalo),
roasted veggies and sometimes a sweet potato or butternut squash Snack: apple with almond butter or a handful of macadamia nuts Dinner: A large salad with all kinds of raw veggies (cucumber, celery, carrots, cauliflower), avocado or olives, usually a lighter protein
like grilled chicken breast, salmon or shrimp This would represent a full menu... I would say I hit this about 4 - 5 days a week, other days I may omit the snack or keep the snack and omit a meal, if i do that though I would add a bit of protein with it.
During the holiday season when menus are full of
turkeys, hams and
roasts, it can feel challenging coming up with a vegetarian or vegan main course that doesn't feel
like an after thought....
The majority of the meal won't be hard to pull off —

roasted veggies, and salads will fill her up without making the rest of the table feel
like they're sacrificing anything.

When choosing
roasted or grilled lean meats
like chicken breast, white meat
turkey, buffalo, or T - bone steak, you «re doing your body a favor.
In fact brining makes the
roasting process faster and results in a juicy, moist
turkey with a whole lot of flavor... not
like the dry, bland
turkey so many of us grew up eating at holidays.
I
like to eat grass fed steak, lamb chops,
roasted turkey, rotisserie chicken, Applegate Farms organic grass fed
roast beef, and an awesome fish curry that I make.

turkey burgers, brocolli salad, salad with watermelon, arugala, purple onoin & feta Tuesday - going to try carnitas in the crock pot, will use it to make burrito bowls
