Lastly, while
the Live Tiles do update periodically (not sure how often) it would be nice to have an update setting to shorten the frequency of these updates.
Three additional nits about the app is that
Live Tiles do not support the wide sized tile and when you un-pin a tile, it is deleted from your My Tile list.
In conversations with our users so far many have reported that
their live tiles do update correctly when full sized but will not when the tile is the new smaller sized.
Now,
the Live Tiles do not display the total number of unread messages, but only the number of unread conversations.
For those who are unaware just what
Live Tiles do on Windows Phone, they replace static app icons one is accustomed to seeing on competitor platforms (iOS, Android, etc.).
Live tiles don't work with desktop apps anyway, so they're only useful for tablet users who actually use Modern apps.

The cascading menus of the Start menu are a better fit for a server than the finger - friendly
live tiles that took over the whole screen, but the way the Windows 10 Start menu relegates «Run as Admin'to the secondary More flyout on context menus makes it far too fiddly for something server admins

do not like about the Start screen is that it lacks a time - telling
live tile.
