the Lord changes my desires as I learn to love Him, there was clearly a spiritual defect in me that He was working out.

Steven thanks for your testimony I agree with your view that homosexuality is not an orientation we are not born that way but its a choice.We can choose to live by what our flesh dictates or we can live by what God reveals through his word and by his holy spirit.If we are serious about following God we chose to follow him so it does nt matter whether gay or straight our choice is to follow God with all our heart.I have never been gay but have battled and was overcome by my fleshly
desires not until i turned from them and asked the holy spirit to help me have i been
changed for that i will always be grateful to the
Lord.So in that sense we are no different our testimonys are important and are powerful.Thank you for your witness and may the

Personally i think those specific prayers are a distraction most of the times we pray these prayers because its what we think we need and often thats not the case.The better way is to just trust the holy spirit let him lead i think we miss the awesomeness of doing it Gods way its easy not difficult.The struggle is difficult when we are walking by the flesh and trying to do it our way.When i got to the point where i said to the God i am not going to do it my way anymore and i submit to you because know whats best for me.Change me and when i feel the wrong
desires or temptation to walk by the flesh i just say
Lord you know i am weak and i can not live a christian life without you help me.As soon as i do that it is effortless theres no struggle thats how we should grow.I am excited with what God is doing in my life he has opened his word i am seeing the fruit of his life impacting mine and i am
changing day by day.I am walking by faith and not slipping back into my old
desires i know what it means to be an overcomer sin does not have dominion over me anymore.In myself i can not boast because it is the power of God at work in my life and i give all the praise back to God.brentnz
Tommy God has already forgiven you for your sin the moment you asked Jesus into your life and confessed him as
Lord.From that point he paid for your sin in full past present future.It is not sin that stops us from being with the
Lord so you are saved.The problem you are experiencing is the battle for your life in the here and now satan is out to destroy you and he knows our weaknesses.If you are honest there were already issues in your life that you struggled with and never got the victory over.So where do you go from here as i found myself in the same situation i was a christian but walking according to the flesh.God does nt

change our nature only Christ can do that our old nature must be crucified with Christ.The stumbling block is our pride we have to admit that we cant do it For me that was terribly difficult i was so independent thinking i could do anything but the truth was a made a real mess of things.I sense you are at a crossroads and are feeling desperate and confused.So as a brother in the
Lord you need to confess your sin to God and tell him that you are weak -LCB- we all are -RCB- and that you cant do it in your strength -LCB- None of us can -RCB- but ask him to send the holy spirit to help you deal with the temptations and the sin that you struggle with and he will help you to
change your life he will empower you as he did me.Rather than look at who you are look to Christ and walk in him and he will make you a new man and sin will not have dominion over you.Jesus came to set us free from bondage.Having once been a slave to sin i know what it is like to have been set free by the power of God and that is what Christ is offering you today.All it takes is a
desire to
change or repent and admit we cant do it and trust him to give you the strength to walk in him regards brentnz
A common motif for a relevant theology needs to be centered upon action and reflection arising out of a commitment to Jesus Christ as
Lord and the
desire both to understand and to act with God in the light of a corrupt and
changing world.
We would ALL
change something about another, but how much more Christ - like to love unconditionally and embrace, without reservation those who
desire to worship with others our

I pretty much agreed with most of what you have said and i think that the sinners prayer has been misused as a get out of Jail free card.A couple of things that people miss is that God is in charge.As soon as you offer yourself to God and accept Jesus Chris the holy spirit has liberty to work on you.Because he loves us he will discipline us so that we do repent of our sins.The downside of living a walk like that you are a hypocrite until you admit your sinfulness the holy spirit can not help us because of our pride.The second part was you talking about disciplining the flesh personally you cant discipline that which is corrupt our hearts are deceitfully wicked we need new hearts no amount of effort on our part will transform our hearts that is the work of the holy spirit he
changes our hearts so that we no longer
desire to sin we would rather serve the
Lord with all our hearts instead.brentnz

desire neither to add to, nor to
change, our previous work on the prayer.
