While it's
looking like
Lost Planet 3 will be a solo campaign experience, I'm hoping we'll have some arcade - style co-op scenarios as part of the multiplayer options — having a buddy join you in the campaign was one of the best improvements LP2 made to the series, and it would be a shame to
lose this altogether — while I understand it's more difficult to create a co-op campaign with the new direction, I'd love to explore E.D.N. III in its frozen glory with a friend.
Lost Planet 2 is one of the games I have been most
looking forward to from Capcom.
Pros + Back to the harsh climate loved in
Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions + E.D.N. III's icy environments
look great and the game's visuals are solid + Return to a stronger narrative compared to
Lost Planet 2.
The game
looks good though and this time around there's an actual proper singleplayer mode and the new grapple mechanics give me major
Lost Planet 2 feels.
However it does kinda
look like an anime styled
Lost Planet... which I'd be totally cool with.
The focus then shifts to the relationship between Dante and his long -
lost brother Vergil, leader of the resistance against demons and wearer of a fetching hat and coat, and their quest to go and kick Mundus» arse so hard that people on
planets far away from here will
look up say, «What the hell was that?».
But, if you're
looking for a fun game to play with some
Lost Planet 2 well worth trying.
Shooter Franchises like Crisis, Dead Space, Farcry, and
Lost Planet all had 3's at the end of their names,
looking to wrap up their worlds with one final horah for their built in fan bases before this cycle ends.
The glowing alien designs
look like something out of a
Lost Planet game, which is either good or bad, depending on which
Lost Planet you think of when I say «
Lost Planet.»
Add the Public Event boss fight
looking like
Lost Planet 2 «s giant enemies and I'm sold.
The holiday game catalog for handhelds may not pack the same punch as for the consoles, but 3DS and PS Vita / PS TV owners can
look forward to the likes of Rodea the Sky Soldier, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, SAO:
Lost Song and EDF2: Invaders From
Planet Space.

There's no word yet on which games Capcom are
looking to bring back, but already we're running through the possibilities of seeing new iterations of Mega Man, Viewtiful Joe, Onimusha and
Lost Planet, to name a few.
With a climate change - denying Trump administration in the White House and fear - inducing predictions of what our world might
look like a few degrees warmer, it's understandable that many people have
lost hope about the future of our
planet.
