I have to admit that I'm a bit crazy in love with the cold brisk fall days, but I have really loved summer this year more than previous years!

I made Bon Appetit's Strawberry & Rhubarb Crumble (May 2010, p. 132) for my stepson's graduation party; he loves strawberries, is off to the U.K. for the summer and it was a recipe from British cookbook author Tamasin Day - Lewis, so I thought it was a good fit for the party even though it wasn't particularly diabetic - friendly.

The other day I was feeling a bit full of myself, bragging about my love of baking and how even the summer heat doesn't keep me from turning on the oven.

I always forget how much I love ice cream until summer days roll around..

, but I also love them because they're a cool treat on a hot, summer day that requires minimal effort.

I can't share your dislike of winter — it is summer and raging hot days that fills me with dread (not to mention bushfires) but snow is still a novelty for me — though I did love the edinburgh winters but I have heard how harsh canadian winters can be and am not sure I would cope

Even though I hate to say goodbye to summer, I do love all the early signs of fall: the days growing shorter, needing that extra blanket at night, and biting into that first cool, crisp apple.

Even though I love veggie burgers every day of the year, there's definitely a reason that summer is burger season.

I love the long day's and I am jumping out of my skin excited for summer to hit around here.
