Lionsgate has released a new trailer for the upcoming action thriller Sicario, which is directed by Denis Villeneuve and stars Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin, Jon Bernthal and Victor Garber.
Even before its late detour into action movie silliness (including a ridiculous badass set piece that belongs in a James Bond movie) Sicario feels like a film whose immaculate craft disguises its hollow center.
I don't have a single complaint with Sicario.

Josh Brolin has a charismatic approach to his off the record ways of doing business, but it's Benicio Del Toro portraying a calm and collected yet seemingly haunted older man with a wealth of knowledge of how things work around the border, that simply ends up snatching Sicario for his own throughout the final act.
Writer and director Taylor Sheridan (writer of Hell or High Water and Sicario) delivers a tightly wound suspense thriller as intense as it is unpredictable.

Sicario and Hell or High Water are two of my favorite movies in recent years.
Sicario, a fall release that addressed the war on drugs in both the United States and Mexico, led all films with five nominations including Best Picture and Best Director for Denis Villeneuve.
