There's no arguing the BMW
M4 is a more precise driving tool than the RS5, even more so in
Competition Pack specification (# 64k), with a more involving chassis on account of its rear - driven set - up — it is an M
car, after all.
The new
M4 GTS has resolutely impressed, the
Competition Package and some recent updates for the M3 and
M4 have righted some of the wrongs of the original
car, and the little M2 is a fun and deeply enjoyable package.
The new
competition car will go head - to - head with a vast array of GT4 - spec
cars, including Porsche's Cayman GT4, BMW's
M4 GT4, Audi's R8 LMS GT4, Ginetta's G55 GT4 and Mercedes - AMG's GT4.
The
car's quad exhaust system is the same as the one on the
M4 Competition but, shorn of some sound deadening and with the CS's new engine management in play (and a redline extended to 7600rpm) the CS sounds much more gritty and real than a standard
M4

M4 Competition Package and softer than the GTS, the CS delivers the same Comfort, Sport and Sport + steps as the standard
car, but its feet land on different rungs when you push the button.

M4 Competition Package and the
M4 GTS.
The guys from
Cars South Africa have had a BMW
M4 Competition Package on their hands for a couple of days.
It's taken BMW a while, but this 2018MY
Competition Package version is the
car the
M4 should have been from the start.
The
car also makes use of the track - tested cooling system of the BMW
M4 with the
Competition Package, consisting of one central radiator, two side radiators and an additional engine oil cooler.
The M2
Competition Package would slot between the standard
car and the long - rumored M2 CS in both price and performance, as is the case with the current
M4.
