MLK did stand for human rights.
From that article, I can see that MLK didn't condemn gay people, but I also see he did * NOT * support them.
MLK did what was a priority at his time.
for example,
MLK did not convince Southern conservatives that the Bible is wrong or that they had to radically change their method of interpreting the Bible (hermeneutics).
It's one thing to encourage a major religion to go back to its roots (as
MLK did)-- it's another thing to wage war on those roots (as the g.ay lobby is doing).
MLK did say (and I'm paraphrasing) «Don't judge me by the color of my skin; judge me by the content of my character.»
But, What exactly did
MLK do for the betterment of humanity?
