At the 2017 REALTOR ® Conference and Expo, the NAR Board of Directors approved revisions to
MLS Policy Statements 7.42 / 7.43 (aka «
MLS of Choice») that requires all MLSs operated by REALTOR ® Association (s) to provide a
waiver of subscription fees for any licensee who meets the following two criteria:
These changes refine terminology and update the
MLS service structures to add a mandatory
waiver policy enabling licensees who don't use the MLSs» services to opt out.
The
policy does not require licensees to recertify their
MLS subscription
waiver on a regular basis.
Can an
MLS provide a local
waiver option of
MLS dues, fees and changes that creates even greater flexibility than the one established in the proposed revisions to
