transfer.
If you want to use Singapore Airlines to book for 25,000 miles per person roundtrip and no extra fee, you can
transfer points from SPG, Amex
MR, or Chase Ultimate
Rewards to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer all at a 1:1 ratio to book that ticket.
If you had 75,000 membership
rewards points and took advantage of that
transfer bonus, you could have added 112,500 Avios to your BA account; (75,000
MR points + 37,500 additional 50 % bonus points).
I'll close with this though — Its not as good as the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG)
transfer program, but, I'd say a 1 - 1 conversion of some Marriott
rewards points ups the value, when one has
MR points in larger numbers (which, logically, you would if you're either churning credit cards, or staying 75 nights a year).
Update: Although Amex refers to the points you'll earn as Membership
Rewards points, they can only be
transferred to partners if you have another
MR - earning Amex card.
The KrisFlyer program is one of the easiest to
transfer miles to, as you can move points from all three major «transferable points» programs, that is, Chase Ultimate
Rewards (UR), American Express Membership
Rewards (
MR), and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG)
Rewards.
Previously, Amex cardholders were able to
transfer their
MR points to Hilton at a 1,000 - 1,500 ratio, but now it's set at 2,000 Hilton Honors points for every 1,000 Membership

Now, I recently helped a client book Singapore Airlines First Class from Moscow (DME) to Houston (IAH) one way for just over 57K Membership

This means that even though AA is not an Ultimate
