I am trying to make 2016 the start of a healthier me and to date have only been following your delicious breakfast ideas (so as to really make it a true lifestyle change and not a fad «diet») but I do plan to incorporate your smoothies, soups, salads etc into my day as time goes on I am saving towards a Vitamix as I luckily have a magimix (4200XL) already.
I've decided, on doing much research and reading your recommendations, on buying a Magimix, but finding it difficult to decide between the 4200XL and the 5200XL.

Hi Karla, I would recommend using a strong magimix for things like nut butters and any recipes containing dates as these can be quite tough on the food processor.
Unfortunately budget won't call for a Vitamix right now, so I am looking into the Magimix or Kenwood.

Yes they do tend to work well, although I always use my 5200XL Magimix as I'm recipe testing almost every day!

I wrote to John Lewis to ask regarding the safety aspect who responded by contacting Magimix who said they would replace the bowls given concern they may not be «BPA free» with Tritan at no extra cost.

I would recommend the Magimix but there are loads more recommendations listed on the Food Processor blog post.
I find the Magimix works very well for small amounts, it's definitely the most powerful.
