A nice perk of
the Marriott rewards chart is that you will get the 5th night free if you redeem 4 consecutive award nights.
The Marriott Rewards chart is mostly linear in nature — the cost of an award night goes up in cost by 5,000 points per category (between Cat 1 and Cat 2 the increase is smaller)-- so, unlike Starwood's chart, there are no specific category moves which would see a property's award cost go up or down by more than another's.
Not exact matches
In 2017, the Hilton Honors loyalty program was reconfigured; it no longer uses award
charts like other major hotel loyalty programs such as World of Hyatt and
Marriott Rewards.
For example, one would expect an SPG category 4 hotel to be roughly equivalent to a
Marriott category 5 (both mid-category redemptions on their respective
rewards charts).

chart below), but I'll go over some of the benefits that stick out for
Marriott Gold Elite status and provide a few comparisons to what other programs offer.
If you look at the
chart below, you'll notice that there isn't a lot that distinguished
Marriott Silver status from the basic
Rewards Member tier.
The
Marriott Rewards award
chart is hard to defend, but I don't think it really is that out of the ordinary, especially when you consider that top tier Platinum members earn a 50 % bonus on points for stays, and if you pay for your stay with your
Marriott Rewards Premier card, you get another 5 points per dollar.
Marriott and Chase are doing something to enhance the return with the
Marriott Rewards Premier Business Card, it doesn't fix the poor redemption rate of
Marriott's award
chart, but it helps.
Since the first of the year Priority Club introduced a new 9 - tier
reward chart, Starwood raised the price of cash and points awards,
Marriott introduced a new more expensive award tier and a points price increase for 36 % of their properties.
